This was right outside our hotel, which was perfect. Due to low snowfall in Anchorage in 2025, there were fewer entries, but the effort and creativity were impressive. Part of the annual Fur Rendezvous, this snow sculpture event is a must-see—especially in a normal snow year!
Went a few days after the competition so sculptures were already melting. Unreasonably warm temperatures led to a lot of ice in the area. Was disappointed to see so many uncared blocks of snow, not sure if not enough teams registered.
This was awesome to watch. Dad and I went just after they started, then he went back for an after video. He loved it. Pretty cool activity for winter.
