I invested $1200 in 2023 with Fundrise as an experiment. They were newer to the scene and I wanted to see what they could do without over committing. Over the last three years, I have had a .2% return. That's worse than the interest in a Credit Union checking account.
I’ve been trying to liquidate my account since Q4, the lack of human support is wild. They will send you an ai response to check boxes but that doesn’t resolve the issue. Easy to start difficult to leave.
I invested in Fundrise and Vanguard about same time and same amount. My investment with Vanguard has been doubled, however it has shrunk with Fundrise. Stay away and don't touch it with a stick.
In addition to the others who have submitted reviews similar to my experience, I have now submitted no less then four “liquidation” requests. Although my initial investment was sizable, because of alleged “mergers” I am not able to fully withdraw my remaining amount of money even considering the very low amount. I even accepted the concept of a penalty- and yet- still cannot submit a closure and am I still paying a fee to manage the remaining monies which have returned less than 3%. Seriously. Do not invest.
