As a mechanic myself, I have high standards when it comes to quality of work—and I can confidently say this was a great experience. Not sure where some of the negative reviews are coming from, because mine was nothing but positive. Most of the time—whether it's boats or cars—it's people doing something careless that causes the issue. But once the damage is done, it's the shop that gets blamed when the bill shows up. 1 star is generous. In February, I reached out to reserve a boat for July. I had to put down half deposit. He was answering some of my questions, but didn't seem very professional. In about March, we noticed a FBMP posting on the boat we were reserving. It was FOR SALE. Now I'm nervous. He did not mention anything about this, so we're still under the impression that we were getting the boat we had reserved. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with Ash, the owner of Fun in the sun rentals LLC . On June 13th I reserved a boat from him for July 2nd to July 5th, but I had to change the rental to July 1st to July 5th with picking up the boat the night before. Due to unforeseen circumstances on June 19th. I gave Ash plenty of notice of the change, almost two weeks, and he confirmed the change with me via text. We arrived in the morning of our scheduled rental and were told that the boat was broken. No warning, no communication, we were only told when we showed up at 8:00 AM. We had to scramble and call several people and were very lucky to find a boat to rent through someone else. Fun in the Sun Rentals might be one of the less expensive boat rentals you’ll find, but you also get unprofessional and amateur service for that price. Look elsewhere.
