We recently visited Fukumoto in Austin with a large party of 12, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Coordinating a big group can be challenging, but the staff handled everything smoothly and professionally. I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to write a review for Fukomoto. Been here a handful of times with my family but went last night for my wife’s birthday and it was just exceptional. The server (Dylan) was super friendly and really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience. Every dish is prepared with such attention to detail. Probably the most authentic Japanese in Austin. Appreciate offerings like ankimo, stingray fin etc. A true Austin gem!

The chef owned sushi and yakitora restaurant never disappoints us. Great atmosphere, service and great dishes..Kazi Fukumota, the owner, is most of the days work as the sushi chef or even serves the dishes. Staff loves what they do and owns their job
