RecommendedI have tried their spicy tuna roll, their tempura shrimp and my usual go to (zaru soba). Everything I’ve had was really good. Highly recommended.

Healthy, authentic Japanese food – This is the place to get simple, Japanese standbys like Udon and donburis. Food is consistently good, and very authentic, as evidenced by heavily Japanese clientele. One criticism is how slow they are to seat parties sometimes. They may purposely be slowing the turnover so the kitchen and waitstaff can keep pace, but I've seen people wait 15 minutes with open tables right in front of them. Overall, a great place and highly recommended.
Have been coming here for the last 4 years or so and it's just as good as ever. They have a pretty simple menu specializing in organic, healthy Japanese dishes like udon and donburis. My favorite is the 'sashimi salad' where they lightly grill salmon and yellowtail and serve it on greens with ginger dressing. Everything is fresh and mostly organic. Best Udon EVER All I have to say is this place is so good that I drive from my office in Lawndale all the way to this place after work on most Friday's (Like an hour drive at least) and then go back to my home in Long Beach after. I probably spend just as much on gas to eat here as I do for the meal itself (not really but it feels like I do!). Usually get the Sansai Udon combo with Spicy Tuna Don. Fresh, healthy, and organic! Fukada has the best udon and soba! They prepare the udon and soba fresh on-site and you can even watch the noodles being made in the back of the restaurant! The restaurant itself is always clean and welcoming. I always like trying their more traditional Japanese dishes such as the Chawan Mushi, which is a steamed egg custard dish, and the Agedashi Tofu, which is a slightly battered tofu dish with sweet and salty sauce.
good japanese food Fukada is pretty authentic Japanese food that has a variety of dishes you can't find elsewhere. I suggest their tenmusu which is a rice ball with pieces of tempura inside. Their udon was pretty good, I tend to like my udon noodles a little thicker but the broth was delicious. I would suggest going there when you are not in a rush because there seems to always be a line to be seated, especially during dinner time.
Great Food! HORRENDOUS service! – Great food. Tofu is out of this world. Reasonable prices. HORRENDOUS service! We only return because of the great food. Recommend arriving at the very end of the lunch hours to avoid the line. IF you are very lucky and don't have to wait to be seated, then you will love this place. This is the real deal! – Wow, my wife and I just ate at Fukada. How the heck did this place go under my radar for 5 years is unbeknown to me. As soo as we walked in I was awwww struck at the simple decor and felt like I was home in Japan again. The mostly asian clientele is a good sign that this place is going to be authentic and it is.
