Went here on a whim because we wanted some skewers. Incredibly glad that we did. Immediately on being seated, the vibe was immaculate. There was something about it that was like... 1 part old diner, 1 part punk rock, and 1 part Japanese restaurant. Everything culminated into what was basically the perfect atmosphere. So glad our local hosts booked because it was pretty busy on a Wednesday night. So many choices and such great food. The Ahi Poke bowl was impressive. The prawns on skewers were tasty and we had pork belly, lotus root, ahi sushi with avocado, fried jalapeno poppers and pork belly katsu. It was probably a bit too much but we managed to get through it all because it was so delicious. A fruity sake flight was certainly a first for me. Good price compared to Waikiki too.
Great food honestly, come here very often, but don't reccomend coming on wednesdays, as the main guy who runs the place is off, and the younger staff is very unorganized.
Idk this place used to be really great but over time it just doesn’t feel welcoming anymore. It’s such a bummer because I used to love this place.
Looking for some late night grinds after the gym, . Beef Udon was legit and hit the spot (Pause). Will be back.
