Popular and fun I discovered this unique restaurant with my dad and had quite the adventure finding it the first time. However, the issue was due to construction, not to the restaurant. Friendly from the start, Fujiya is open and inviting. The food ranges from the typical bento boxes, to sushi and more traditional Japanese fare. Wonderful Japanese experience. – I was in Tacoma for business and I always try to stop into this wonderful restaurant. althought small, I like its size. It reminds me of similar places I visited in Japan. The service was good. I was not in a hurry and was happy to follow the pace of the restaurant. I was alone and still got good treatment. Exceptional Japanese Restaurant – I like very much to go to better Japanese Restaurants. In my opinion, Fujiya is one of the stars in the crown of Japanese Cuisine in the Seattle-Tacoma area. I attribute that in no small part to the owner, Endo San, and his devotion to perfection and integrity. He is a true gentleman who never tries to achieve less than his very best. The sushi is superb.

only ok – I have heard people rave about this place. We seem to go every couple of years just to see if maybe things have changed and the hype is justified. It's not horrible, but is very expensive for what you get. The layout of the restaurant in very cramped and I've had lackluster service on more than one occasion.
