Being new to Seattle, my husband & I wanted to try a good sushi restaurant that is family-friendly, because our 1 yr old was joining us. After reading the reviews about Fuji, we decided to give it a try, mainly because the other reviewers said this place was family-friendly. And we were very pleased. I wouldn't have guessed that this place welcomed babies as they did - there were 3 other families with kids the same age, on a Saturday night (the other families were Asian, we're not). The sushi was very good - we wouldn't say ... read more

Great value! – I love sushi and used to go to Vancouver for sushi. However recently I am getting tired of driving and have been looking for a great sushi place in seattle. Fuji sushi is definitely my best choice after going to several japanese restaurants. The sushi is big and not expensive..compare to those fansy Japanese restaurant. California roll for 4.75(cheaper than most restaurant for 5.95 and up). Others are also a little cheaper than formal Japanese restaurant, and they taste about the same as Vancouver sushi place.... read more

Not recommended for large groups – While the food was good, I do not recommend this restaurant for large groups. Those that ordered first, got their food last, those that ordered sushi as opposed to the entree items also received their food last as there were only two sushi chefs. Half the party was finished with their dinner before the other half even received their miso soup! When the restaurant ran out of an item required for one of the dishes, they didn't let the person who ordered the dish know until the dish was delive... read more

Awesome lunch bento special – It wa a great lunch. I had Saba and chicken Katu, my friend had sushi and Tampura. Everything is so delicious and in a reasonable price. I will definately go back.

hidden treat – FS is tucked away on the ground of an ID apartment building, but once inside, has pleasant low-key decor. The sake selection is excellent. The Bento special (around $10) is a highly recommended dinner option. Great service and a nice, mixed crowd. I can't wait to go back.

outstanding little secret – Often lost amidst the flashier, more well-known sushi joints in the area, Fuji Sushi consistently offers a delicious array of extremely fresh options. Mina, the hostess, occasionally travels back from Japan with specials that are not to be missed. The hot (tempura'd) California roll is a specialty not seen elsewhere; the spicy tuna tempura appetizer is scrumptious; and the prices, while a little spendy, are quite worth the value. Easily on par with the likes of Shiro's.

First time was GREAT! – My friend told me about Fuji Sushi ages ago and I finally went for the first time last night. No wonder he wanted me to go - it's great! The staff are very friendly, the clientelle are almost entirely Asian (does that mean it's authentic? I would guess so), and the sushi is terrific. It's not particulary romantic but if you like great fish, large portions, and friendly service, stop by Fuji Sushi.

Great Sushi. – There aren't many really GOOD sushi places in Seattle, even when the prices are insanely high. To find great sushi at decent prices you need to go to Vancouver. But, this place qualifies.
