Love the show of them cooking my food. The food here is so good, i love it. However, the staff is not so good. They seem to get so carried away by being so busy that they lose their customers. Again, food good, inside and outside of building is good, and price can be high for amount of food, but the staff can kill the experiance. PROS: Great food, love the food! CONS: Staff gets to busy and looses customers.
If you want the best sushi or most authentic taste, skip this place Having grown up with authentic sushi in Hawaii and having a Japanese cook and housekeeper, I was accustomed to authentic taste and freshness. After eating at both options in Jonesboro, I would have to suggest you skip Fuji and go down the road to Shogun. Fuji's selections are too Americanized. Fuji Japanese Steak House needs better management and sushi...seriously. My experience w/ this place was not a good one...the man behind the counter was not only rude but unprofessional & certainly did not believe in the motto "the customer is always right." The price on the menu was apparently different from what this man said it was & he did not even care whether I ordered the food. The sushi that I ordered was awful! It had an extremely fishy smell and the chefs did not even bother removing the blubber off the octopus! If... read more
Pretty good for NE Arkansas Shogun was the first in the Jonesboro area, but I've since been going to Fuji. While the teppan is a little salty (might have been the chef), this is the only place I go for sushi/sashimi around here (it's not like we have a broad selection). It's not bad, considering where it's at (NE Arkansas is not known for raw fish, but for crispy fried catfish!). When I can't get to Memphis or am not travelling, this is where I go. Fuji Japanese Steakhouse I have never tried sushi at Fuji's but their food is to die for! I think it is better than Shoguns in Jonesboro and Little Rock and 10x better than Kobe's in Little Rock. I live 2 hours away in Missouri drive to go eat there as often as I can. It is my favorite resturant in the U.S. There are some chef's that are better than others, but even the worst one I have ever had was excellent. They are very friendly staffed and entertaining. I would recommed to anyone
