Update as of Nov 2025. After years of not being able to get our own money out of this account - FS Specialty Lending Fund - they finally listed FSSL on the New York stock exchange. Guess what happened? Lost 30% in total value in one week! Yes, it's true. This company, this investment, goes down as our worst ever by far in over 30 years of investing. Great sales people who make you feel at home. They go out of there way to meet with clients to make sure we feel comfortable.
Wish I never would have allowed my advisor (since fired) to invest in this. It's been over 10-15 years (honestly can't remember because it has been so long) where I have been trying to pull my money out because of it's poor performance. At this point I have written it off as a loss but I warn anyone thinking of investing with them.
