Front Range Barbeque is a Family Restaurant created by two brothers from Alabama back in 2000. Since opening we have won "Best BBQ" from the CS Independent or Colorado Springs Gazette every year. At Front Range Barbeque, we use local and fresh ingredients, southern family recipes and cooking styles, and believe in cooking our food from scratch just like mom does. We use a dry-rub cooking process with mixtures of real wood to slow smoke our meats. We pride ourselves on consistently flavorful, tender, and juicy meats! Our burg... read more

Not just great ribs, but melt-in-your mouth chicken with excellent sauses, uniquely wonderful appetizers (grilled artichokes, incredible fritters, fried okra, etc.), reasonably priced well drinks, AND terrific bread pudding -- all-in-all, an experience to be repeated!
average – Don't know what the fuss is about over the BBQ. Slow service. Funky interior is good for hanging out and having a beer.
BBQ is good but lacks consistency. Slow service. – The restaurant is an early 1900's house to restaurant conversion with both front porch and backyard seating. Their BBQ is good but lacks consistency. At lunch $6.99 buys you a sandwich and one side. The service is slow and lacks management. If the service was better I would rate this restaurant better. On the plus side the location, and atmosphere are very unique. It's restaurants like these that should be self-serve. The North location on Austin Bluffs and Templeton Gap loc... read more
Very Good BBQ @ a friendly place – BBQ at it's BEST!! Here on the foothills of the Rockies in Colorado Springs sits a very nice and friendly restaurant. The food is VERY GOOD, We had the fried artichoke heart appetizer. Don't be fooled, these are wonderful! Very litely battered and cooked perfectly, this was a wonderful start to a very good dinner. Ribs & pulled pork were very good. All the sides that our group ordered matched the entrees for flavor. The weak link of the food chain here at Front Range BBQ was the Elk burger.... read more
amazing ribs – I'm on a mission to find the best ribs in Colorado Springs. Tried a couple of other BBQ places, and this one blew them all away. So far Front Range BBQ is the best--hands down. The service was amazing, the atmosphere is quaint--a cute little house in Old Colorado. The beer selection was good. Now, let's talk about the food. The ribs rocked my face off. You know those ribs that fall off the bone? Yeah, these are those. And, the BBQ sauce was really good. I like it when the rib meat is so good, you almost don't ... read more
What went wrong? – On several recommendations from friends and news articles I went to the Front Range BBQ (the Templeton Gap location); ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of slaw. The sandwich came with barely enough brisket to cover the bun. The meat was fatty and tough. The BBQ sauces were watery and had no hint of personality. The strange "onion straws" were so tough and stringy I thought I was eating dental floss. Finally, the slaw and dressing tasted two weeks stale. There's nothing I can praise about Front Range... read more
Outstanding BBQ every single time – We discovered this gem a while back and indulge in dining there about once a month. FORGET the BBQ chains, this is the real deal. I cant stress this enough that Front Range is always great, very very very consistent restaurant. In a town where chain restaurants rule this place deserves our business and earns it! The ribs are fantastic, as is the brisket and pulled pork. The sides are great too, tried them all from baked beans, cucumber salad, mashed potatoes, red beans & rice not a dud in ... read more
