With fresh pasta and delicious takes on traditional recipes, you know you're going to have an amazing meal at this friendly Italian restaurant. Fritto Misto is known for its causal and welcoming atmosphere as well as its big entree portions. Try the tasty gnocchi gorgonzola pasta or the spicy shrimp ravioli for that extra zesty kick. If you don't see anything on the menu you like (as impossible as that sounds), then you can create your own pasta and pick out exactly what you want. End the meal with a lemon bar dessert with i... read more

Italian that compares! – What a great local place! A gem for us in Hermosa. Joe Carrillo has it going on at Fritto Misto. He's a local and really takes care of every patron like a local. Tell him you saw the excellent ratings on CitySearch.com and he'll show some favoritism.
Good and Reasonable – I remember stuffing myself here often during college days. Bring your own medium grade wines (save the top wines for else where) and you're good to go. Pastas are good. And I like their Banana Cream Pie.
Excellent Italian in Hermosa – I've only been once, but Fritto Misto is already among my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is perfect... a little dim, relaxed, not too dressy but not overly casual. Friendly service, a good mix of traditional pastas (build your own) with some more innovative dishes (a cilantro-based chicken ravioli is particularly tasty), and the namesake appetizer: a plate of deep-fried vegetables and seafood. To borrow a word from Will Ferrell's James Lipton impersonation, it's scrumtrillescent.
The Best in Town – This is a great place for lunch or dinner. The decor isn't eye-catching, but it need not be. I love ceasar salad and they have one of the BEST! The bread is the most delicious I've had yet and if you get any appetizers, make it the Fried Pillows. The service is great. One of the waiters still greets me by name each time I come in and has a diet coke with lemon on the way if I come in for lunch. Its worth it!
Everything you want in a restuarant – I LOVE this place! Great food, very reasonable prices, really good wine much cheaper than you would see at another restuarant, casual but classy atmosphere, and something that is important to me: the management are quality people who care about the customers. (and no I don't work for this restaurant, I just love everything about it.)
Consistently Great! – I have been dining at Frito Misto for almost 10 years and it never lets me down... Really feels like a family owned Italian restaurant... great value in relation to the portions.
Good Stuff – We were in the area and had a local suggest we try this place. Great suggestion, we tried their lunch - I ordered pasta and my girlfriend ordered salad. Both were excellent and plentiful. The owner, upon hearing it was our first visit, sent out complimentary desserts, very nice. The food was very good, the place did seem a bit cramped, and the service was excellent as were the prices. Return? Anytime, whether we are in the area or not! Suggest readers give Frito Misto a try.
Yummy! – Love the food here. Try the Gorgonzola & Greens Salad. The pasta listed on the menu is merely a suggestion, feel free to create your own variations. You can bring your own wine or select from their in house stock. They even have a unique, dark, Brazilian beer that is superb. If you haven't eaten here, go now.
