Richmond American homes has turned my daughter and son in laws life into a complete nightmare. After owning the home for less than a year they have voided their home warranty and have left them with a more than $50,000 repair. They have not had properly Working plumbing since April 6. The septic tank was not installed correctly and the field lines are not draining like the system is designed to do. This company should be shut down and not allowed to build.
Where to start as so many things wrong! Island is NOT level and half a bubble off so water runs down the island to the bar stool. Super told us they intentionally slant them- WRONG. Islands are to be dead level so now have to submit a claim to warranty department which we hear from everyone in the development is a nightmare. HVAC installed wrong so that had to be fixed twice since moving in 3 months ago. Floors are crap and not water resistant in bath and kitchen. Buyers beware!! 11 months of owning this home has been a nightmare. The warranty department is a complete joke. Our septic tank flooded on Sunday, April 6 and as of today, Thursday, April 10, nothing has been done about it. We have open warranty claims since December 2024. Our HVAC has not worked properly since move in. They have sent the HVAC company out numerous times and still no resolution. Very disappointed in Richmond American Homes and their dishonest sales techinques. Buyers beware. Update: It has not gotten any better dealing with this company. In January I had a warranty claim for a corbel that was crooked and 2 inches below the counter top on the island. It is just a cosmetic piece it serves no function. The counter person that came there from the warranty call told me he could put 2 inches of calk above it or move the whole corbel I said it crooked so calking the top won’t help that so he grabbed onto i... read more
Homes arnt worth the $ sum of the first one built witch ppl have bought now we exposed to the weather for almost 300 days with isn’t good for the lumber
