Urban Forestry plants the trees but does not maintain them. Too many dogs in the city now and the owners are too LAZY to pick up that poop. The smell of dogs' poop is unhealthy,

I love that young people want to help the planet by planting these trees. However, no one tends to them, dogs poop in the surrounding wood chips, the wood chips spread all across the sidewalk, AND the tree roots grow down into the seeer pipes, where the homeowners have to pay to have them removed. They say that they will attend to these trees, but there is a tree just a few feet from my home, that has leaned across the sidewalk, blocking total access. One of my favorite groups of all time. Trees improve the environment, improve our neighborhoods, level up the oxygen we all need, and has a side-bonus of increasing our property values. (Not as important but perhaps worth mentioning.) Thank you for the work you do!!

I agree with the person below me. This organization does not truly care about the residents whose homes they are disrupting, although they claim to. I am handicapped and they are planting a tree right outside of my home. Of course when I reached out, they say they don't need my permission. How would they like it if we came to their homes and started planting whatever we wanted? This is ridiculous and a reason why San Francisco has changed for the worse.
