I visited the center in March of 2014 and took some pictures of the sea lions they were treating. They only had a handful then. Now they are overwhelmed with poor, starving, sick sea lions washing up on the beach. Please support them; they are the oldest marine mammal center in California, and they do great work.
I was devastated today when I saw a sealion pup clearly starved at Huntington beach. The life guard seemed un bothered by it and put up a cone to stay away but was telling people that there are so many sealions and basically we are over run by them so....oh well. I was over the moon excited when I called you guys and found out that you picked him up!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

I never knew this place was here. The volunteers were so helpful and knowledgeable and it was a real treat for my daughter and I to see the patients there.
