I recently hosted a volunteer appreciation event, where we ordered halal and vegetarian lasagnas, fresh garden salads, fruit platters and desserts. The food was delicious and received numerous compliments throughout the evening. We ordered a mix of appetizers from Friends for a donor thank-you cocktail event. The food looked amazing on platters, tasted great (we made sure none went to waste!). And we were glad to support a social enterprise that gives employment opportunities to those who have struggled.
