———- update 7/10/2026 I was told by the agency has paid the caregiver because the caregiver who did not check in claimed that she showed up on Memorial Monday, although I called the billing department next Monday right after I received the emailed invoice. It’s ok I don’t ask for the wrongly-charge refund as it’s paid to the caregiver and it’s the Memorial holiday. The billing department can do things better. Tristen and Kori at Friends and Family home care have been wonderful!! Their guidance and research sent me a fantastic caregiver for my 80 year old mother ( who suffers from Parkinson’s ), and they helped by having someone who is a companion, compassionate and good hearted be with my mom. Avoid this agency! Both my deposit and a wrongful charge are locked up, and the company refuses to refund them. We experienced multiple caregiver no-shows, including on Memorial Day Monday and the following Wednesday, both with zero notice. Even though I called immediately when the invoice was emailed to me while the charge was still pending, the office pushed it through anyway. Carlos, the Manager, and Friends and Family Home Care quickly provided caregiving services for my parents, which gave me much comfort. Angel, the Case Manager, was a great communicator, very respectful, and very customer service oriented, which put me more at ease during a challenging period.
