This is always my favorite bar! The staff and clientele are a lot of fun.
Very friendly. .went to see the bricks with names on them, of people who passed on...worth the trip. They invited us to come back for a dinner they were having. Wished we had.
A place I loved to meet up with Jan Becker and the late Melanie Plesh, after the silt settled from Hurricane Katrina. Melanie gave me the what came to be nearly the last ride out of Town. RIP, hoisting a beer for you, cher! ~ LEJ
I first visited the Friendly Bar with my daughter Kim and Winifred Green. This was Winifred's hangout in her neighborhood. I had a great time! The second time I visited there was in remembrance to Winifred Green. We Second lined from Raynelll's place to the Friendly bar! They put a brick around a tree in memorial of Winifred Green. Winifred would have loved it

Has been one of the most welcoming neighborhood bar for years. Everyone is welcome and accepted. Home of Buzzy's boys and girls for years. Took care of those in need and still does. Many fond memories!
