My husband is an ultimate foodie and loves cooking. He had prime rib and said it was the best ever, perfectly cooked and so tender he could cut it with a fork. He eats it very rare. I enjoyed delicious cedar plank salmon. Of course we love Rombauer Zin.

Excellent! First of all, our compliments to the your wonderful staff! Very friendly, outstanding and truthful suggestions....hostess, wait-staff, servers and bartender...impressive! Secondly, it was clear that the staff could stand behind their recommendations...from the Basil Martini & Long Island Iced tea, to the Bacon wrapped filet, the lamb, and the chocolate fondue dessert....excellent!! Our first trip to Nevada City from the SF Bay area...how fortunate we were to dine with you! (Photos in comments)
Greta food, great service, great atmosphere, Facebook makes me put in 50 characters so I'm still typing.
It's lousy, overpriced food. I liked my steak salad, but the other six people in my group did not get their money's worth.
The food at Friar Tuck's ranks up there with the best that Nevada City has to offer. The martini's on the other hand are second to none in Nevada County, maybe all of California, big and not over priced.
Great atmosphere and good food. A little pricey, but you will leave full.
