Don’t ever use a payment plan to pay your late property taxes. You would think that a payment plan is there to help people in a bind but it’s setup to help them make more money and set you back further and probably take your property. I had a $900 property tax bill that was late and I decided that I’ll use the payment plan. When I read the terms I saw it was a $15 fee and 1.5% interest. I thought hey that’s not too bad.
