Karen was able to curate a beautiful design for our minor home renovation. We were very excited to work with her and her team. That being said, we had a less than desirable experience working with her and her contractor (her husband). Some of the issues we dealt with were a budget and timeline that doubled, minimal communication, lack of quality control, and most of the furniture we ordered (which we loved) came damaged and had to be replaced. When I contacted Karen from CT to see about working with her as we moved to NC, I had no idea how lucky I was to find the right decorator. She takes such care to get you what YOU want, but with a decorator's ideas, comprehensive designs and connections for fine furnishings - not spaces designed around her style. We cannot say enough good things about the team at Freshwater Interior Design. Karen and her team designed an environment that we love to walk into each day. She listened to our wants and needs and delivered on all fronts. They kept us informed throughout the entire process, so we never had to guess what was going on.
