This company was great when they first started. NOW, they engage in "Bait and Switch" where they ACCEPT your order, then, after is it on the way, they inform you of the items that were out of stock. EVEN WORSE, with my last order, I told them not to ship it unless it had everything that THEY SAID WAS IN STOCK, or just don't send it. SO, they send the order, it's MISSING a bunch of items, I call them, and the LIE and said that one box got lost and that they would order those items from ******** and send them to me the next da... read more

I am disabled & really need a food deliver service THAT actually works. I made a grocery order #*********** 10/2/18. I had trouble getting the order through, so I called the order in. The woman that helped me seemed to know what she was doing. We had trouble accessing my account as they had a phone number that I hadn't had for over 10 yrs. I am not a FreshDirect customer but a FreshDirect delivery truck ran into a tree on my property resulting in a large chuck being torn away from the trunk and dragged into street along with several branches. This driver then threw all the branches onto my property and refused to clean up what he had done. He refused to provide me with any identifying information, was very verbally aggressive towards me and drove away. I have complained 5 times about Fresh Direct delivering two different types of Smoked Salmon in one order - The bottom and top of the package contained the item that I ordered and in between was much cheaper and even different looking fish. It is obvious that the item is a much cheaper variety than what I ordered. I have tried to reach them multiple times via email but there is absolutely no response from their side. I have photographs showing the different fish and even send it to them. Guess what, as usual no response!!!

I too have been a Fresh direct user for many, many years. For most of the past years they were reputable. You were able to reach them by phone if you had a problem and they use to return phone calls in a timely manner. Now that they are transitioning to a "state of the art" facility the organization is rapidly going downhill. One day my order was five hours late, forcing me to eat out that night because what I needed for dinner was in the order. I have used freshdirect for the past year. For the second time in least than 3 months this company has not done what it said it would do. My groceries were supposed to be delivered between 8-10 pm this evening. It is now 11:30 pm I have still have not received groceries I paid 140.00 for. When I called customer service the rep. was very indifferent and could not tell me why my good was so delayed nor could he tell me if it was going to be delivered. I have been a weekly customer of FD for over 10 years. In the past six months service has become unbearable. Twice my orders were delived 3 hours early in what I call a “dump and run”. I was not home and they left meat, fish, and dairy products to rot. I was given a very nice credit but when this continues to happen you can see they have a much deeper issue. Last week the delivery person refused to bring the food to my apartment, did a dump and run with the front desk. Every order for weeks is missing items, I’m not charged ... read more

we are now incredibly frustrated with FreshDirect's non-service. After being FreshDirect customers for years, we have now had three orders not show up. Two of which we weren't even called, emailed, nothing. No communications. Upon the last non-delivery I asked to cancel my account. Fresh Direct did not cancel my account but charged me for the non-delivery after assuring me I would get a credit last Friday. You can imagine our surprise at this level of incompetence.
