I have been a Fresh Direct customer for close to 12 years. According to a customer service representative, I have placed over 600 orders with Fresh Direct.On Tuesday, September 21, I experienced something that made me question their quality control. As background, I am allergic to garlic and onions, and I spent literally hours on their website a number of months ago reading the ingredients of products that I was interested in to find those made without garlic or onions. Foodkick secretly canceled my delivery pass. They never informed me that it wasn’t renewed. As a result I was charged delivery fees for months. This occurred in 2019 and a customer service agent credited my account then assured me it would not happen again. But, just this week when foodkick migrated to FreshDirect Express, I noticed a delivery fee. Fresh Direct parks trucks illegally all day long in front of my business on Amsterdam ave at 84th street. NYC each and every day. They block my storefront leave their refrigerator trucks running block the sidewalk with their plastic containers and allow their employees to loiter when not busy. They hog up all the parking spaces so customers have no place to park. They are ruining my business where I pay rent and taxes. They should be required to park off street and PAY FOR PARKING like the rest of us

I began using FD about 8 years ago & had been satisfied, but when they initiated their move out of LIC things changed. Under the current virus crisis it has become impossible to place an order because all time slots are filled up for 2 weeks & no future slots avail. I complained & they extended my membership in Delivery Pass for 3 weeks which is meaningless if you can’t place an order. I placed my first order, and they screwed it up. I spent 1 hour 20 mins on the phone with an offshore idiot who told me my options, none of which were helpful. The whole experience was unpleasant, the website poor and the customer service didn't give me any options which helped me at all. If you want a stressful experience I suggest you try shopping here.

Their website doesn’t work you can’t make any changes to your method of payment and five people couldn’t even help me so I canceled my membership and I’m glad I did

I have had numerous issues with Fresh Direct over the years, including entire boxes of my order being left off the truck. I simply do not have the time nor easy access to purchase the groceries I need in a store, so I have continued to use FD despite all the problems. But this last issue is beyond outrageous. I paid for my last order with one of my saved payment methods - a credit card. 2 pending transactions appeared on that account- one for wines and one for groeceries (they always appear as separate transactions). "Freshdirect" isn't fresh. I have received a stinky, slimy, rotting organic salmon from freshdirect. I wanted to cook the salmon on the same day of delivery. I contacted freshdirect and received a credit for it but selling fish that's gone out of date is a serious health hazard. This company should be investigated about hygiene and food safety. They should discount fish that's about to expire to make sure they are sold before going off.

******** is the sister company of Fresh Direct. I placed a grocery order and received a text that my order was on its way, but when it never arrived, I contacted ******** via email. Customer service was no help, saying "Sorry that your order is running so late...we were unable to get an estimate on when this order will be delivered."
