Eli said he had top notch crew and I picked his bid despite it being the most expensive. I stopped the job at phase one - crown molding. One “carpenter” who split all 16 ft molding in half for 15 ft walls and nailed them as on picture. This costs $2,000 in labor. He said Texas did not require licensing for carpenters when I questioned the mastery of his carpenter, but no crown molding is done with butt joints and randomly placed nails.
