Dr. Melo is fantastic. I absolutely love having her as my PCP. I walked into her office 3 years ago completely burnt out and needing to focus on my overall wellbeing. Dr. Melo has been my primary care and weight management provider for two years now and I could not be more pleased. She is not only a skilled doctor, but she is attentive, responsive, and invested in my health. My husband sees Dr. Harvey and has also had an exceptional experience. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Melo and the team at Phinney Primary Care and Wellness. Their $300 annual membership fee is worth every penny. The membership model allows providers the time to truly sit with their patients, listen, and practice medicine the way primary care used to be—where you feel cared for as a person rather than just another number on a schedule. Absolute joke of a practice. Makes you fill out an entire patient intake form and requires you to send pictures of your insurance card just to hit you with a bait-and-switch over email one week later that they only provide care if you sign up for a $300 annual membership. These people do not care about patients, they simply want to waste your time and make a profit. Treating necessary healthcare like a Netflix subscription is certainly a choice— shady and deceptive practices, truly very disappointing.
Our family has had an excellent experience here (patients since Autumn 2024) and we continue to be impressed with the high level of service. As others have mentioned, the clinic has a Membership Plan. At the time we became patients, this was not even mentioned until the second or third appointment and was presented as an option (i.e., it was not a considered pre-requisite to establish care).
