Absolute joke of a practice. Makes you fill out an entire patient intake form and requires you to send pictures of your insurance card just to hit you with a bait-and-switch over email one week later that they only provide care if you sign up for a $300 annual membership. These people do not care about patients, they simply want to waste your time and make a profit. Treating necessary healthcare like a Netflix subscription is certainly a choice— shady and deceptive practices, truly very disappointing.
Our family has had an excellent experience here (patients since Autumn 2024) and we continue to be impressed with the high level of service. As others have mentioned, the clinic has a Membership Plan. At the time we became patients, this was not even mentioned until the second or third appointment and was presented as an option (i.e., it was not a considered pre-requisite to establish care). I was referred to Dr. Grote by a friend. After my first visit just a couple days ago, I can safely say this is the best physician experience I’ve ever had. The whole process felt very collaborative instead of just being told what to do and sent on your way within 15 minutes. Keep in mind that this office uses a membership model. Your actual visits will still be processed via insurance, but there is an annual fee for membership. I have so appreciated the care I've received from this clinic. Dr. Melo always gives you her full attention and really listens to what is bothering you. With her help I was able to put together some challenging health puzzles and figure out a good course of treatment. Highly recommend.
I have been seeing Dr. Melo for primary care and weight management for almost two years. She is a wonderful physician and human being; I cannot recommend her highly enough! She is very knowledgeable and always happy to talk through the available research and evidence on any particular issue.
