Home town food and drinks – Great place to go for a homecooked burger. Beer is cold and people are freindly, however on Thursdays and Fridays they close the resturant down at 8 to accomodate the football players. This doesnt say much for the rest of New Braunfels who would like to grab a bite to eat after the game aswell! My family's Thursday night tradition will have to now be enjoyed at a different location.
If you can find it... Pull in for a burger and a beer – Me and a friend rode by this place on the backside of New Braunfels. We turned around and stepped in. It looks like most back road Texas cafe's - weather beaten wooden exterior, and even more wore out inside. Just the way it should be. We had bacon cheeseburgers, fries and a Shiner Black or two. The food was great, the beer was cold and the service was friendly. The Freiheit Country Store isn't special, but if you're driving by, don't pass it by.
