This rifle and pistol range is decent. But I think it's a little ridiculous that you have to sign up to be a member. They should just make the range open to the public for anyone who lives in Nassau county and charge an hourly fee, like $10 an hour. It's also a little ridiculous that the Freeport Police sometimes take up the whole outdoor shooting spaces. The gun range in uniondale, you just walk in, show your Nassau county leisure pass, and go shoot. Same thing with the Brookhaven shooting range out in Suffolk county. You w... read more
Really love it here. The facility is nice and well kept. The people have been friendly and welcoming; as an African American Muslim married to a Latina, this was extremely important to me. Having a safe welcoming space to train and enjoy the sport is important. It is clear where the politics of the members are but that’s ok, no one has made me or my wife feel uncomfortable
