Freeport Bakery is one of the best in the world! Walter and Marlene are wonderful people and have been making Sacramentans happy for close to 30 years. I will never forget the time in the late Eighties when Walter appeared at the kitchen door of Slocum House, which was one of the premier dining places in Nor Cal, and offered us samples of his cakes and desserts. Came to see all the so-called hateful comments about the Ken Doll cake. I think there were about 3 comments. Freeport Bakery trying to stir controversy where there is none for money. Ridiculous.

I bought a birthday cake this past Friday from these fine folks. My family loved it! Not too sweet but wonderfully flavorful. And delicious! I walked in the bakery, picked out one of many lovely decorated cakes they have on display. They personalized it for me in 5 minutes. I will be back!
