Ethel is amazing and professional and actually listens to me. This is the first time in a long time I have felt heard and seen in my mental health journey. She has my moods and depression stabilized, even with my mom being on hospice with Ethel 's care i have managed not to slip into a bad depression!
Unfortunately, my therapist and psychiatrist (both wonderful providers) are now under Freedom. Each session with my then therapist under Freedom costed $457 per session before insurance. Afterwards, I owe around $250. I have never experienced those prices before Freedom. Most other places only charge around $200 per session. In network or out of network, my insurance still covers most of that. Unfortunately, my provider here was not very understanding of my needs and didn't give me the space to express my concerns with my medication not working. She was out of town often and I was not able to see another provider even when my medication was giving me horrible side effects. I was told to just "take a hydroxyzine" and "talk better to myself" when experiencing PMDD symptoms. If you are considering going here, I would advise against seeing Karen. Mattie Kay is a great therapist. She is compassionate, well educated in her profession and easy to talk to. I have come a very long way since I started seeing her. 10/10 recommend
