A bit noisy, but a great place to eat. I loved the golden beet & goat cheese sandwich. Oh, and the beer is good, too, if a bit over-explained. Let us just order it already!
Excellent beer and food, and our waitress was very friendly and helpful in describing the beers.
If you happen to be in Lawrence, it would be criminal if you fail to stop in at Free State. The food was excellent, the service spectacular and the atmosphere wonderful.

Great selection of beers. We talked with our server about what style beer we like and he brought us samples of 4 great tasting beers. It was hard to decide which one to order a full glass of to go with our lunch. I had the pulled pork nachos and my wife had the wild mushroom wrap. We shared the plates because they were both very good.
Great brews....epic. a must for the craft brew aficionado.
