I went to Free Spirited last night thanks to my friend Danielle, and it immediately felt like a special place. Amber and Areleo were so welcoming that I knew it was going to be a wonderful evening. The food and drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere—both indoors and outdoors—was warm, inviting, and full of positive energy. I can't recommend this hidden gem in Alhambra enough. I can't wait to go back!
We stumbled upon Free Spirited, and it’s like the Universe guided us here. A Gluten Free restaurant that is welcoming to everyone, and you can feel the love and care that has been put into the menu and the decor.
Free Spirited Bar is an absolute gem. It is incredibly refreshing to walk into a restaurant where the entire menu is vegan by default (they do offer an option to add halal chicken if desired), a total 180 from the usual experience of hunting for that one token plant-based option. As a group with diverse dietary needs, we were blown away by how seamlessly accommodating they were. LOVE the NA cocktail selection and nuances in flavors! X-ed out and Firepit Nights are my favorites! Amber and Arleo are two of the sweetest and hardest-working people around, and are so generous in sharing their space for game nights, live performance events, and fundraisers! I also love the food, especially the buttered "scallops" (made with mushroom), chickpeas, and black garlic pasta with braised halal chicken.
