Amazing Pizza – Fred's the name alone makes me hungry you walk in the door and the wonderful smell overwhelms you in pure joy. Every item on the menu is great. The food is all made fresh using the same care that Fred has always used. There are more expensive Italian Restaurants in town but none with food this good. Best Pizza in town I have been going to Fred's Pizza all my life. All of the food there is wonderful. If your tired of those boring chain Italian Restaurants give Fred's a try! The service is very friendly they treat everyone like one of the family except in this case it is true. The portions are large the prices are small and the beer is cold. Trust me give Fred's a try you wont be sorry you did. Labatts 20oz drafts just 1.50 hurry in for happy hour! (Edited October 13, 2009)
Mom never cooked like this! – Fred's Pizza Italian Restaurant is a special place but don't tell my mom. She's from the "old country" she must have grown up in the wrong Provence or something don't get me wrong her chicken Marsala is good. This place is the real deal – This family owned place really makes what they serve in house! The prices are fair and they actually treat their clients as the valued customers they are. How refreshing, some place that wants your business and isn't afraid to show it!

Historic Landmark in Fine Pizza – Fred's has been a staple of Grand Rapids' NE side for decades and for good reason. Excellent service, relaxed atmosphere, and some of the best food on the planet. If you are visitor to Grand Rapids and are looking for relaxed environment for enjoying world class pizza, you really must give Fred's a try!
OMG! – This place is awesome! Home made chicken noodle soup with home made noodles. Excellent! The pizza is absolutely the best there is. I just can't do them justice on here. Go and try for yourself. Home made everything! A family run business by real Itallian people that know what they are in the kitchen! SOOOOOOOO GOOD! Definitly my favorite restaurant!
Great Food! – I have lived in town for most of my life and never found an Italian Resturant that was more enjoyable. The food is wonderful! The pizza the best I have ever had anywhere. If you have tried Fred's you alredy know if you havent yet do yourself a favor.
