Had a very good experience. My first scheduled surgery got called off while I was hooked up to IV and all. Dr. Pennings asked how my leg was feeling that morning and I told him the pain subsided, he then told me he needed to see another MRI and compare it to the previous one to see if anything changed before he cuts me open. I appreciated that. We had the other MRI done and nothing had changed so we decided to do the surgery. I had to wait another month but it was ok and it was going to get done.. First visit. Great experience.
Dr. Pennings was well prepared for my consultation. Using MRI image and spine model he explained my medical condition and how minimally invasive surgery could help. His explanation of outcome and post surgical experience was accurate. He did not pressure me to decide quickly. Post surgical pain for me was far less than what I was experiencing prior. I took Tylenol for a few days. Back to office work on day 11. Haven’t used a walker since the procedure. I can stand, walk and sit without pain!
Everyone seems very nice there. Dr. Penning’s did my back surgery still recovering but over all very good experience. He really seems to know what he is doing also very nice person.
Dr. Pennings is able to clearly explain whatever spine issues you have and give you absolute control over the options to proceed forward. His expertise as a spinal surgeon combined with his expertise as a neurosurgeon gives all of his patients the absolute best of both worlds. I can see why he is so highly recommended.
