Dr. Herman is a treasure My husband and I moved to Frederick, Maryland, from Pennsylvania this year and needed to find all new doctors. After numerous recommendations from friends and family, we chose Dr. Herman and we are very glad we did! She is meticulous in her examinations and I have never felt better. She helped me understand my diabetes and explained my aortic valve replacement surgery in a way that helped me finally understand. Never again This place is obscenely over priced and unless you have GOOD insurance I??d recommend staying as far away as possible or expect to pay out the nose in exchange for hours of time wasted and the cost of a week??s groceries down the drain. The staff varies from civil to outright hostile while the doctors themselves seem to be competent from my own experience and those of other people I know. Highly recommend He has been my husbands doctor since he was a child, and is one of the nicest Doctors I've ever met. I've seen him twice now, and was completely happy. He always listens, and makes you feel comfortable.
Great Practice! Very happy with this practice. I generally see Dr. Dale Heitzig, but on occasion have seen the nurse practioners as well. Dr. Heitzig is wonderful, always understands my concerns, takes the time to listen to me and does not make me feel rushed. It is easy to get an appointment when needed, though not always with your own doctor. Staff is very professional and caring.
Awesome Dr, great bedside manner! I had to find a new Dr after my previous Dr closed his practice. At the advice of family and friends, I looked into Frederick Primary Care Assoc and chose Dr Herman as she was the only DO with the practice, and I really prefer the DO's philosophy of medical care more than the MD. She has been nothing but amazing. I always get to see her, not just the nurse practioner, she is VERY thorough and even caught some things that my previous PCP did not. Physical = Pap smear?? I went to see this doctor for a physical and she told me since I already had a pap smear with someone else that my insurance would not cover a physical. They are two different things!! Then she said well I will give you one anyway and we'll just call it something else for insurance purposes. Her physical consisted of just her checked my breathing and saying you seem healthy and I left. I called my insurance and they said it is ridiculous for her to think that an insurance company would only let you hav... read more

Professional staff; easy to get an appointment with nurse practitioner. My primary care physician is Dr. Jones; she's great: very professional and polite. However, she's also very busy. Unless I schedule an appointment pretty far out, I usually see her nurse practitioner. The good thing is that she is also very competent.
