The food is mid, the triple steakburger mid, the meat tasted like it was left in water for hours, $6 sundae is crazy, and the chilly cheese fries are trying too hard to be like animal style fries with chilly cheese. They forgot my Dr.Pepper mid drive to work and once I realized it closed.
The food is good and the service is nice. My only problem is that there is no one to man the front to take customers' orders as they're in the back making orders.
I have not been to a Freddy's in more than a decade. There was a similar burger place in Texas and that was Steak and Shake and we do have Freddy's also. The burger was smashed good and developed the crispy edges that made the taste more meaty and moist. The vegetables tasted fresh and the onions had the right amount of tart. I substituted the thousand island dressing for mustard and it was really good. I got the tater tots and added chili, cheese and some diced onions.
