Not sure what’s changed at Dan Wilson homes other than a designer, but we looked at a home in Oakmont on 116th Street facing a shopping center and it didn’t look like a typical Dan Wilson home. Other than the parking lot being an issue, the inside was really odd with selections. I am sure quality is there, but…

At the initial consultation & according to their brochure, the completed home would be meticulously cleaned inside & out. At the walk through, the exterior had no landscaping completed (other than seed thrown on top of mud yard with no flowerbeds - 2 were included in plan). The sidewalks, driveway & patio were filthy. The interior had wet floors, dirty countertops, & cabinet hinges that were spray painted with latex paint & peeling. We put money down on one of his Southwest homes very early in the building process. We were not allowed to change anything (floor material or color of the walls) although we were told some changes were allowed. After 3 months When the end came near, the walls were pink, the absolute cheapest linoleum tile was installed and the concrete work was 1” thick in an area of the sidewalk.
