Fred Meyer is Awesome Fred Meyer is awesome.!! They have everything you need under one roof. Their customer service is good and they are getting more and more upscale without the high price tag. I do not like shopping at Walmart because their stuff is cheap, the treat their employees bad, no one is ever on the floor to help you, they buy from questionable sources and they are very Redneck!!

Nice Ol' Freddie's I like stopping at this old Fred Meyer; it's got a great feeling to it, esp late at night. The employees I spoke with were just normal friendly people. Nothing too over-the-top here. Just how I like it.

It's just a store It's fine for massive shopping trips but the produce department here (and, seemingly, at all Freddies) is average at best, and sometimes the meat and fish departments are just bad. There are cheaper stores with wider range of products and more upscale brands that Freddies doesn't even carry. I don't get this strange reverence people seem to have regarding Fred Meyers, it's just not all that.

Massive I don't know if I'm talking about the same Fred Meyer that Danielle is, but this place seemed quite massive to me. First of all, there is a giant grocery store, but wait, there's more. Walk a mile or so further, and there is another section that seems the equivalent of Target (okay, admittedly without clothes). You can buy things like giant vacuum cleaners, tools, and flat-panel TVs here. Almost everything you need to live is in this place.

Outclassed My grandmother took me shopping at Fred Meyer when I was little, but as i've grown up, maybe the grocery stores are just getting nicer what with the whole foods/organic trend, but freddies just doesn't hold the same allure that it once did. The one on Barbur is pretty tiny too, by Fred meyer standards. It has no clothing department. It does still have electronics though, school supplies, gardening tools, a small organic/health food section, and, I will admit, both the bike department and the auto department have s... read more
