I love what Fred Meyer has to offer. However, there was an episode between a man and a woman last evening (5/21/20) at the Meridian location that could have been handled differently. I believe it is each person's responsibility to tend to their own business. But this woman approached a man picking up a small basket and got in his face about not "wiping" it down. i asked a cashier if i could pay for someone's groceries because the lady forgot her debit card. the cashier told me no. this is horrible. such horrible customer service. i will never shop here again.
Prepaid for an item on line and tried to pick up the day after I had designated as my pick up day. The order had been cancelled and my item is no longer available. My account was charged, but I didn’t receive the item.
Beware if you try to use a check for over $300.00. The cashiers will shame you in front of all by saying they will have to call your bank to verify funds. They refuse to post a sign about this that customers that are unaware will be subjected to unnecessary embarrassment. While I now understand that it is Fred Meyers policy to call a bank to verify funds on a check over $300.00 I think it is thoughtless to put a customer through an experience like that when they could just post a sign, warn them before excepting their check ... read more
