I took my 26 year old wedding ring to be sized up one size and the goldsmith recommended re-tipping the stones because of wear, and because it’s white gold they dipped it in Rhodium. Honestly after all of our beach vacations, gardening, working with my hands etc.. over the years I’m not sure how I didn’t lose a diamond. Anyway, it looked like a brand new ring! I would highly NOT recommend Fred Meyer Jewelers!! They have lovely jewelry at a reasonable price and after 50 years of marriage, we decided to buy new wedding rings. It is a gorgeous ring costing $5,000, but within six months one of the diamonds fell out. Fred Meyer repaired it, and it was done poorly, and had to be redone by a reputable jewelry store. Recently when I went in to have my ring cleaned by an upscale jewelry store, I found out that they are low quality diamonds and some are not even genuine diamonds. At least m... read more
