The initial consultation was straightforward and they answered all my questions without being pushy about upgrades. During the remodel things stayed on schedule and the crew kept the rest of the house reasonably clean. The finished basement feels like a proper room now, not just a concrete box with carpet.

Our basement had basically become the place where extra stuff went because it was always too cold and awkward to use for anything else. DreamSpace made it feel manageable instead of turning it into some giant stressful project. The new setup just fits how we live a lot better now. A few updates in along the way, and by the time things wrapped up around Mount Prospect, it finally felt like a real room we wanted to spend time in.

So our basement had this persistent moisture issue along the north wall, like actual condensation pooling behind some old shelving units. we'd been dealing with it for two winters and it was starting to smell musty down there. DreamSpace came out to our property in Mount Prospect and figured out that the grading outside was pushing water toward the foundation. they fixed the drainage situation and then finished the whole basement with moisture-resistant panels and new flooring. that damp smell is gone now, which i think is w... read more

What stood out most was how well they managed the whole remodeling process from design through completion. We had our kitchen and main bathroom redone and there were a lot of moving parts with plumbing, electrical, tile, cabinetry all happening in sequence. The project manager kept everything on track and communicated with us daily about what was happening and what to expect next which made living in the house during the renovation way less stressful than we anticipated.
