I have a 2 part fractured ankle and my initial consultation with Dr. Koch was TERRIBLE!! Extremely rushed and rude bedside manner. He didn’t fully explain anything. I asked a question and he said “no more stupid questions.” Pointed to one place on my printed xray and said you’ll need surgery and walked out. Never asked my pain level, never explained recovery plans, never unwrapped my cast or looked at the anything. He immediately rushed to get surgery scheduled. He will not be operating on me and I will find someone else.
He really helped me by sending me to “Physical Therapy” for my leg … Great Doctor
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Dr. Koch due to the lack of patient care and professionalism from his team. Calls promised within 24 hours took 72, instructions weren’t followed, and responses came across as dismissive rather than empathetic. Being told “I never said it was urgent” about a prior authorization when every context suggested otherwise was unacceptable. Grandiose is the word that comes to mind. Quick to refer you to a pain clinic without any type of physical exam. Brought up how he doesn’t make enough money from Medicare for vertebroplasty and is considering not doing the procedure anymore. Left waiting in a wheelchair for an hour after being taken back to a room but we sure could hear all the jokes and chit chat between him and the staff while waiting. He gives Resurgens a bad name.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! My first visit Dr. Koch rushed to go over my mri. Tried to invalidate my previous diagnosis from 2 other doctors. Compared my 37 year old body to his 58 year old body saying he had back pain as if I am acting. Didn’t answer a single question I had and rushed to send me for steroid shots. 0 of 10 but the white people had smiles on their faces.
