On October 18th, I came to Chilliwack General with two infections and waited 15 hours. Tonight, October 30th, I'm back with severe abdominal pain, constipation, low fever, cold sweats, nausea, and high blood pressure, and I've been waiting over 5 hours again. This is exhausting and unacceptable. Patients deserve faster care, and staff deserve enough support to do their jobs.

October 13, 2026 Huge shout-out to Chilliwack Genereal Hospital ER, drs, nurses and staff - A grateful experience during a frightening night I went to the emergency department yesterday evening at 19:00, with sudden, unbearable pain on my left side. The rest of the hospital seems ok but the ER department was not ok. The staff have no communication with each other, I said the same thing 5 different times to 5 different staff within an hour regarding medications. Even with it being peak flu season, there was absolutely nobody wiping down chairs, cleaning high touch areas. I put my hand down on a chair and there was urine on it. Waited 9 hours for the doctor I was waiting to see, just for him to head home without telling anyone at 1am didn’t get stitches an leave till 6am the next day, staff & wait times at this hospital are a joke
