We found a speech therapist for our four-year-old who required a sign-off from her primary care physician (Dr. Franz). Note our health insurance does not require any referrals. When we called her office we were told by nurse Lisa that our kid would need to be evaluated by their staff before a sign-off could be given. We already had a recent speech evaluation so explained that no additional evaluation was needed and that this was just a simple physician to physician referral. Great philosophy, terrible exectution – Dr. Craven pushes immunizations more than Dr. Franz's philosophy. We got a lecture from the doc about 15 minutes late for our appointment, saying we were lucky she chose to see us (WE WERE 15 min EARLY as verified by our checkout sheets when we left). The font office (especially the office manager (Luann) and the lady who you go to to check out and schedule future appoints (Melanie) are rude, almost hostile. Franz Center For Children is a Pediatric dream come true! This Practice is the best! They offer pediatric care with the utmost respect for the parents choices and the child's well-being. This creates a nice balance between the knowledge and advice the Doctors offer and the choices that Parents must make. They offer great service and the entire staff is very caring and courteous.
