I was told that the technician would show up from 9-11. 11am arrives and the tech is still not here. Finally, shows up at 11:30 am (no apology) and I ask if he can relay his findings to owner/operator over the phone. I had Frank’s come look at our central AC as it had been working then suddenly stopped blowing cold and I couldn’t figure out why. They came out the next business day and Chang was the technician. He was great. Professional and courteous. Diagnosed the problem and gave us a quote. The next day I was contacted by the main office and they wanted to send a senior technician (Rich) out to further check something as he had been reviewing Chang’s (junior technician) notes and before they ordered parts he wanted to verify. Tried to charge me $1,900 for a $500 gas valve (I should have warned Howard I have access to the Internet). I said no and got another contractor - and turns out they were even wrong about the gas valve they wanted to over charge me for. RUN.
I was really satisfied with my experience with Frank's Heating & Air Conditioning. They were able to schedule us within a week or so. Junior and another fellow I didn't catch the name of came and did a clean, efficient job, accommodating all the tricky requirements of the job and even assisting with a few other things I had asked for. The intention was only to relocate a duct to allow for some other work, but the heat even ended up working better after they were done.
