FCDH apparently does not care about the mental health and well being of our children. Forcing kids to stay isolated in their homes, glued to their devices, unable to see their friends, and cancelling sports that keep them active. What a joke. Childhood obesity will continue to increase, as will anxiety, depression, and suicide rates. Kids living in poverty who were already behind will now have that gap widened even more. Kids handle the virus very well. There's no evidence they spread it to adults, and every district is givi... read more

Your recent recommendations are adversely affecting our children. You are failing them.

Your absurd recommendations are destroying our youth's lives! Every single suicide, drug overdose or youth death due to abuse is on YOUR hands. This virus rarely affects children. The CDC data shows that the seasonal flu kills more children than COVID but there are NO recommendations to change anything during flu season. Your organization is a disgrace and you are not putting our youth's health first. I'm embarrassed to live in Franklin county.

With the recent recommendations requesting that all schools in the co. start with a 100% virtual plan for Fall of 2020 truly doesn’t make any sense especially when you consider the recommendations of the AAP and CDC. Many of the school districts in the co. have minimal confirmed cases and we are truly creating more harm for these children than good (think social injustice amplified, food insecurity, child abuse, gang violence, teen pregnancy, drug addiction, etc.) Additionally with Governor Dewine’s announcement (7/28) about... read more

I cannot recommend an organization who is making decisions with inaccurate data and strong arming schools forcing them not to open. Talk about affecting the public health. These kids have endured enough and they are the least at risk for this virus. Now they are at increased risk for suicide, depression, obesity, anxiety, teen pregnancy and a whole host of other problems as a result of these decisions. The cure for this virus is worse than the disease. Horribly handled Franklin County.

Are there any investigative measures to inform families of inmate health issues while they are incarcerated ? Inmate was taken to a medical facility and had surgery. Now I am stressed about the after care for open wounds. I know that if proper care and packing is not done in a timely manner infections can cause more serious harm.
