My experience delivering at Franciscan Health Crown Point was extremely difficult due to how my care was handled by midwife Lori E. Oxley, CNM. I was considered high-risk due to a known uterine fibroid, but throughout my pregnancy I was told I could still attempt a vaginal birth as long as I was monitored. I love this facility and wish there were more like it all over the US. I had an amazing pregnancy and birth with this staff in 2024. Quite honestly I was disappointed with Shannon but greatful Lori stayed. Lori is the best and made sure to calm my fears. The nurse that assisted with my birth was also up beat and engaging. All my wishes were accepted with no kick back from anyone. I felt safe in their care.
