Nice guy, but he spends about 3 seconds with you in an appt. He messed up my procedure with Dr. Grice. Somehow between the two of them my nerve block was done in the wrong place. He cancelled my appt. today (that I had been waiting weeks for) because he was going out of town. I'm finding a new Doctor.
Dr. Shen performed surgery on my spine last year. He is one of the best doctors period, but he is an excellent surgeon. Would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shen.
Dr. Shen diagnosed a tricky case of referred pain, when several diagnostic tests suggested an alternate (incorrect) etiology. For new patients, don't expect a warm and fuzzy experience on the initial consult - it will be very fast while he selects an array of diagnostic tests that you need. It will be his next appointment that he will show what a brilliant diagnostician he is, and show his great bedside manner. This man REALLY cares and backs it up with extraordinary skill.
