I’m a retired orthopedic surgeon who was referred to him. His apparent disregard for patients time is appalling. When I called to make a follow up appointment after an in section , I was told that I would be contacted the day before and given a time. Apparently this is his policy. I find this extremely rude and uncaring. His time may be valuable, but so is mine.
Dr. Hussey is humble, a great listener, compassionate, intelligent, and never leaves me hanging, always prioritizing access to medically necessary medications, respecting illnesses/ injuries and the true pain involved. I also have a rare primary illness called MCAS, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome where pain sensations cause an anaphylactic flare and one specific opioid, Dilauded, is able to stabilize the mast cell's cellular wall, reducing flares and anaphylactic reactions. Dr. Desmond Hussey is a Great Doctor! He is professional and very pleasant. I’m a nurse in Miami went to the top University hospital there and for months they couldn’t figure out how to treat my cervical issues. I immediately did my research and went to see Dr. Hussey . He looked at my MRI and gave me an Epidural . I am so grateful that I went to him , I have been pain free for months now .
