Good Italian fare – Francesca's is a chain in Chicago that serves up good Italian fare. The portions are too big and should be shared family style. The service is average and the taste is good but again not authentic. The salads are delicious and so are the seafood dishes.
Honor your guest's reservations! – My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday night. We had an 8pm reservation but were not seated until 8:50. We think that the host forgot about us a couple times because even after following up twice and being told we were "next," other parties kept being seated before us. Naturally, we were frustrated. nice place – Great service on a saturday. Food was good. We had a pizza and an egg plant entree. Food portions were large.. We had left overs.. No parking hassels... Would definitely recommend the place.
Great Italian food – Francesca's is a wonderful and cozy Italian resaurant. I've tried many of their dishes and have yet to be disappointed.
Amazing food, be prepared to yell... – This is a gem of a place, but I highly recommend going at off-times if you plan to talk with the people in your party. The noise level when the place is full leaves my ears ringing in a manner normally reserved for rock concerts. With that said, the food really is rather fantastic. I've been to Mia Francesca many, many times and never had a dish that didn't make me swoon. Their appetizers are especially delightful.
Great food, Great prices!! – Everything we tried was great! The appetizer salads were a good size, and tasty. The pizza was crisp and flavourful. We will be back here soon. Good service and the prices are pretty good.
Wonderful – I am still drooling of the thought of eating here. Try the seafood dishes.. all the food is bursting with flavor. The best in town. I will continue to enjoy the friendly staff and wonderful variety of foods on the menu.
quality italian – The waiter was attentive, the food (spaghetti with sausage) was really good, and the ambience is very cozy without being claustrophobic. Bring an appetite because the portions are enormous. The menu didn't seem very large. That is my only complaint.
Consistently Best Restaurant on Taylor Street! – I live a few blocks away and have been going for years. I love the bar and the food is always the same - satisfying for the soul. Italian food, but mixed with modern American so not like the typical heavy over-plated servings of pasta as found elsewhere on Taylor.
