I DO NOT recommend Dr. Long. She is impossible to get appointments with when you are sick, so majority of he time you see her PA Tracey who is not experienced and constantly getting things wrong. Dr. Long is not a problem solver but instead a medication pusher. She will diagnose you with whatever her first instinct is rather than getting to the root of the problem, which is very dangerous. She is not a caring individual and it comes through in spades when you reach out for her comments. Don’t worry, she is not accepting new patients (nor is any other doctor in her office because turnover has been so high) so you won’t have an opportunity to be disappointed.

I WAS going to Dr Long for years. In Jan 2021, I saw her for some test. Apparently, my insurance didn't completely cover the test. I never received a bill instead in July 2021, I got a termination as patient certified letter. Being the first notice I got I called the office, NO ONE seemed to care that I didn't get a bill just stating this was policy. Even Dr Long said she could not do anything. PIEDMONT INTERNAL MEDICINE AND FRAN LONG. Possibly worst Dr’s office in Atlanta. Total disappointment . I would not let them care for my fish. BEWARE

Dr. Long is nice but their billing department is terrible. They billed our insurance, not only for the professional services but for labs as well. They were reimbursed for these services yet we were also being billed from Lab Corp for these same exact services. When Lab Corp sent their claims, BCBS denied stating they had already reimbursed the services to the provider naturally. These pass through lab billing scenarios are a scam. I am a former patient of Dr. Long. She included an EKG that was not covered by insurance with my wellness physical. The Insurance Company told me I did not owe the charge, but the billing department insisted that they could bill me anyway. Beware of uncovered treatment and unfair billing practices.?
